How a Chicken Road yard is played

Each yard opens on this site. I read the controls on 12 October 2026. A keyboard, a mouse, or a finger is enough. There is no account.

Hands on the Chicken Road coop

Hay Hide is a top-down coop. Foxes walk with a cone of sight. Hay breaks that cone.

  1. Lead the hen with the pointer, a stick, or WASD and the arrow keys.
  2. Hold over a hay pile, or press Space, or put a second finger down, to duck in.
  3. Release to step back into the aisle.
  4. Eggs by the wall are the quieter points. The golden egg sits in the open, between cones.
  5. A fox that sees you telegraphs a pounce. If you are still in the aisle when it lands, the run ends.

The Chicken Road slingshot

Nest Fling is one pull and one arc. A dotted line shows the path before you let go.

  1. Drag the hen back in the slingshot and release, or aim with arrows or WASD and press Space.
  2. A haystack bounce stretches the flight. Corn on the arc is a small grab.
  3. A high nest and a golden egg off the safe arc are worth more, and they miss more often.
  4. Mud, the pond, a tractor or a fox ends the run. Feathers, then the tally.

A Chicken Road line between posts

Roost Swing starts with the hen already moving. You do not tap a target. You time a release.

  1. Hold to pump the pendulum while she is on the rope, and to dive while she is in the air.
  2. Release to leave the rope and glide.
  3. Catch the next line, ideally in its lower third, on the way up.
  4. A low rope over a fox and a high egg off the arc are the risky points.
  5. Mud or a fox ends the run. For the first 18 seconds a fall into mud throws you back up.
